Angie & Skye (longtime RTTS dream girls and friends) just went on a **life changing trip** and took some beautiful pictures of some new friends in RTTS whilst they were away...
1. Who are you? What do you do?
S: I am Skye, I am an artist.
A: Angie Osman! I do whatever I feel like doing hehe. Right now I'm back in my photography/creative direction and DJ bag.
2. Where was this photo series taken? How did it come about?
Both: It was one of our last few summery nights in Paris. We were hanging with some of our favourite people at home and Angie sporadically realised that it was the only opportunity we had to shoot due to everyone's conflicting schedules. It was shot where we were staying, throughout the streets of Montreuil, one of the greatest places everrrr.
3. Tell me a little more about the models and how you met them?
S: I met the models on a sort of date with this beautiful boy. It was Angie and my third night in Paris and despite losing our luggage, I still went and met him, his best friend Farida (model #1) and her gf Mariana (model #2) at an Irish pub where there was some art school affiliated gig haha. The next day I told Angie the tea -!obv! - and also told her I found the perfect models for the shoot!!! We became super close and spent lots of time with them, we love and miss them very much!!!
A: We miss them a lot :((( Shoutout to Skye for going on that date.
4. You recently went on an adventure, can you tell us more about this and what effect it has had on your creative practice?
A: So disgustingly cliche but this trip changed my life and perspective tremendously. I was burnt out on so many levels and it took spontaneously dipping out of my city for a chunk of time to realise + accept that. Recharging and just living day to day reactivated this overwhelming appreciation for life (which was dormant for ages), and in turn, my deep desire to make things again.
S: Our holiday was beautiful, it really showed us that we could do anything we wanted. It added that shiny feeling towards making work again after being out of touch for a while.
5. Any lessons learnt recently?
A: Several!! The umbrella one is to pay attention and be intentional; to yourself, to others, to everything. Apply this as you wish.
S: It’s ok to let go of things you love!
6. What advice would you give your 18 year old self?
A: Not everyone and everything deserves your energy, instill boundaries silly. Also babe it's not brain damage, its ADHD :')
S: Your dreams are telling you things !!! Don’t fear and observe closely for they are insight to all that is conscious! Also be kind to your mum she’s trying her best ❤️🩹
7. Ramp Tramp or Tramp Stamp?
A: Both! More Tramp Stamp after this weekend though.
S: Tramp Stamp!! Although love to the ramp tramp girls
8. Best thing to do in Paris?
S: Parc des Buttes Chaumont !!! And any cafe with a pack of cigarettes
A: Walk everywhere, flea markets on the weekend, za, and faire la grasse matinee on Sunday morning after sleep walking to get a croissant before they sell out.
9. Best thing to eat in Paris?
S: CHICKEN STREET!
A: PB Originals and the spicy lobster roll from Homer Lobster if you feel indulgent coz it's fucked up good and worth the $.
